Cathy Skoglund has been the Manager of Operations and Business Development for GIS at Arizona State University for 1 year. She received her Bachelor of Science and Technology with an emphasis in Graphic Communications degree from Arizona State University.

Cathy is an effective leader and dynamic manager with 11 years of experience in all facets of digital printing operations and business development. She is an accomplished industry professional, whose talents include facilitating continuous improvement programs and evolving organizational teams to include operational, tactical, strategic, and visionary results for all stakeholders. Her industry involvements include a current Secretary board position with the Printing Industries Association of Arizona (PIAZ) and Vice-President of Membership for the American Marketing Association (AMA), Phoenix Chapter.

Cathy is very outgoing and loves to talk to friends, family and anyone who listens. She enjoys taking care of her family which includes 4 dogs, 1 bird, and 1 chicken.

Deb Baney has worked at GIS for 2½ years. She received a Bachelor's in Fine Arts from Cetral Michigan University. Deb is currently enrolled as a graduate student in the Masters of Science in Technology program with a concentration in Graphic Information Technology.

Deb is referred to as "The Deb of All Trades". She brings office management experience as well as print expertise to GIS. As an Office Specialist, Deb performs a variety of duties including estimating, job input, and customer service. She maintains record keeping systems, monitors account receivables and payables, assists with account reconciliation, drafts correspondence and answers client questions. On top of her daily responsibilities, Deb has been working on research to increase the print capabilities at GIS.

While away from GIS, Deb enjoys spending time with family and friends.

Adam has worked for GIS for 2 year. He started off with GIS as part of an internship learning bindery and traditional press operations. Upon completion of the internship, Adam was hired on as Student Worker where he became more familiar with GIS' workflow, Prepress functions, and running the HP Digital Press. Currently, he is a full-time employee of GIS filling the roles of Prepress Operator, Digital Press Operator, and GIS Online Consultant.

Adam has a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Technology with an emphasis in Graphic Information Technology and is currently working towards a Master's degree in Information Technology.

Adam has extensive knowledge of: Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Dreamweaver, Flash; Quark Xpress; Press-sense's iWay; Kodak's Prinergy and Preps Prepress Workflow System; and HP Indigo 3050 Digital Press.

Away from GIS, Adam co-owns a design company, plays basketball, goes bowling, enjoys playing the classic video games (i.e. Mario, Pong), kicking back by the pool, and updating his constantly growing DVD collection.

David Bradford joined GIS one year ago as the web-to-print GIS Online Administrator. His main function is designing user friendly templates for ASU customers to order their business stationary online. With his fifteen year background in commercial offset printing, David brings extensive knowledge and experience of all the printing presses housed at GIS. He is dedicated in teaching students how to operate GIS equipment to better prepare them for industry.

David started his printing career by attending the Graphic Arts program at East Valley Institute of Technology and has developed in to a cutting edge digital print expert.

John Hollendoner has a very strong printing background and has worked in various printing facilities over the past 8 years including a lab manager at the College of Dupage.

John completed his Associates degree in 2005 and expects to complete his Master of Science degree in December of 2007 at Arizona State University.

John has worked for GIS as the Job Flow Manager for the past 3 years. He plans to use his advanced education and production experiences to obtain a management position in an innovative graphic arts company.

John likes to lounge by the pool and spend time with his friends and family. He also enjoys traveling, camping and off-roading.

Michael Protocollo has been employed at GIS for more than eight years. He has worked at the ASU Tempe campus prior to migrating to the Polytechnic campus in 2000 where he currently manages print production and trains students on the various presses housed in GIS. His affiliation with Arizona State University for the past ten years has been rewarding.

Michael is a student at ASU in the Department of Technology Management pursuing a degree in Operations Management. He is a certified HP Indigo Press operator and has completed several vocational and technical courses pertaining to the printing industry.

Outside of work, Michael enjoys spending time with his wife and two children who both attend ASU proving to be a true Sun Devil family. He also enjoys cooking, jogging, dining out, and is a HUGE Steelers fan.

Christine Tancredi has been an employee at Arizona State University for 25 years. She has extensive knowledge in operating various printing presses. She has held positions in the College of Education, College of Business, College of Engineering, Printing Services and now GIS. For the last 13 years she has been the head operator of the Halm Jet envelope press and Davidson 2 color duplicator. Christine also helps out in the bindery department in her spare time.

Outside of work, Christine loves to go for walks, sew, and participate in other outdoor activities.

Nana has been employeed at GIS since Fall of 2007. Nana is persuing his Masters of Science degree from the Department of Technology Managment, with a focus in Graphic Information Technology. He previously acquired his Bachelors of Science from Central Connecticut State University.

Nana serves in GIS as a Pre-media Specialist, and in addition holds position as the Vice President for the Graphic Informaton Technology (GIT) Club.

During his spare time, Nana enjoys playing football, art, driving/ racing and designing of course.

Mike Chiricuzio is a well-known crusader and proponent of color digital printing as a Marketing and Communications tool.

His background, which includes 20 years in commercial offset printing followed by 8 years as a pioneer and leader in the emerging color digital printing industry, prepared him for his current role as consultant, advisor & educator.

Mike's experience, combined with his unique style and approach, puts him in demand for consulting opportunities nationwide. He is a frequent speaker at industry events and a contributing columnist to several industry printed and online publications.
